Quick start: Android

Use this page to see what’s planned for Android and what you can build with canvist today.

Status: coming soon. The native Android editor isn’t available yet. It will be a CanvistView with its own InputConnection, tested against Gboard and Samsung Keyboard, and published to Maven Central as io.github.ifiokjr:canvist-android. It will work in both Views and Jetpack Compose.

What you can do today

• Build with Flutter. canvist_flutter runs the full engine on Android today.
• Process content on your server. Use the Rust, TypeScript, or Dart packages.
